LONDON — Method A single races will never be canceled if a driver assessments favourable for the coronavirus or if a group withdraws, CEO Chase Carey states.
F1 would like to avoid a repeat of the year opener in Australia in March, which was canceled when the McLaren group withdrew after a personnel member tested favourable for the virus. The year is now set to begin with two races in Austria on July five and twelve.
“A group not currently being ready to race wouldn’t cancel the race. I do not think I could sit in this article and lay out the repercussions. But we will have a course of action in position that obtaining an infection will not direct to a cancellation,” Carey claimed on the F1 internet site Tuesday. “If a driver has an an infection, (groups have) reserve motorists obtainable.”
