Yobs on a wrecking spree smash car window amid reports of car bonnets being jumped on

Yobs have been on a wrecking spree across parts of Nuneaton. There were reports of car bonnets being jumped on in the Stockingford area.

Stockingford & Arbury Neighbourhood Watch Alerts on Facebook said that there was also an incident in Kingswood Road. The community crime-fighting page revealed an image of a car with a shattered windscreen.

It said that the vehicle was targeted in the Kingswood Road area early on Saturday morning (April 23). It said this followed reports of cars being jumped on in Whitehouse Crescent.

“Further to our reports of cars being jumped on by youths in Whitehouse Crescent, Stockingford, this afternoon, a car was attacked in a similar manner in Kingswood Road at 4.50am on Saturday,” the page said.

“If you live in Kingswood Road and have CCTV, please check your footage.”

Only last week there was footage of yobs were caught on CCTV jumping on bonnet and roof of elderly woman’s cherished car over the other side of town – in Coniston Way. Their late-night antics caused so much damage to the roof of the car that the 75-year-old’s insurance company has written it off.
