Description
Daimler Vans Usa, LLC (DVUSA) is recalling selected 2019 Mercedes Benz Sprinter and Freightliner Sprinter vehicles. The connecting screws on the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) pipe may not have been accurately tightened.
Penalties
If the connecting screws are not correctly tightened, sizzling exhaust gases may leak from the EGR pipe, raising the threat of a fireplace.
Corrective action
DVUSA will notify house owners, and Mercedes-Benz or Freightliner Sprinter sellers will renew the screw link and the flange seals on the exhaust gas recirculation pipe, free of charge of cost.
