The 2021 Nissan Murano has attained the top honor from the Insurance policy Institute for Highway Security. The agency awarded the midsize SUV its Best Security Choose+ rating for the Murano’s crash-examination effectiveness and the efficacy of its crash-avoidance technological know-how.

In IIHS screening, the program effectively averted hitting the adult and kid examination dummies in evaluations executed at twelve mph. It also averted hitting the dummies in four out of 5 scenarios executed at 25 mph, and slowed significantly in the fifth. Total, the crash-avoidance technological know-how was deemed Top-quality (the top score on this examination) the two in avoiding collisions with pedestrians and with other vehicles. The existing-era Murano dates back again to 2015. The model earlier attained Best Security Choose+ scores for the 2015 and 2016 model decades and was a Best Security Choose in 2017. But the IIHS tightened the needs for its best awards, and the Murano fell limited in 2018 due to lousy headlight effectiveness. With upgraded standard safety attributes and enhanced headlights, the Murano yet again achieves the best award.
