The 2021 Ford Bronco Activity has emerged from the Coverage Institute for Highway Safety’s battery of tests, walking away with the organization’s greatest score: Leading Safety Decide on+.
The Bronco Activity gained prime, Good, scores in all six of the IIHS crashworthiness tests, including little-overlap front (driver and passenger aspect), average overlap front, aspect-impression, roof crush, and seats and head restraints. Moreover, the Bronco Sport’s normal and optional CoPilot360 collision-avoidance programs gained the ideal feasible score, Exceptional, in both of those the car or truck-to-car or truck and the car or truck-to-pedestrian exam evaluations. Lastly, both of those the normal LED headlights (in the foundation car and Major Bend) and the LED headlights with LED signature lighting (in the Outer Banks and Badlands) gained Good scores.
The Bronco Activity outscored its showroom siblings, the Ford Escape and the Ford Mustang Mach-E, which both of those earn just a Leading Safety Decide on score, missing out on TSP+ because of to their headlights. The 2021 Ford Explorer also has a Leading Safety Decide on+ score from the IIHS. The new Ford Bronco has however to be examined by the agency.
