Honda, Cruise and GM Choose Following Ways Toward Autonomous Auto Mobility Services Small business in Japan

Cruise to ship first self-driving vehicles to Japan and start enhancement for tests
this 12 months as component of Honda’s new mobility organization~

TOKYO, Japan, January 20, 2021 – Honda now introduced that it will collaborate with Cruise and
Standard Motors on self-driving vehicles for its autonomous car mobility provider (MaaS) organization in Japan,
based mostly on the enhancement and commercial agreements signed in Oct 2018.

Cruise will be sending the first of its self-driving check vehicles to Japan and start enhancement for tests
this 12 months.

Additional in advance, Honda aims to launch its MaaS organization using the Cruise Origin, a car the 3 providers
are jointly acquiring solely for autonomous car mobility provider corporations. Honda Mobility
Answers Co., Ltd., founded in February 2020, will be the operator of these MaaS organization in Japan.
