INDIANAPOLIS – Takuma Sato has received his next Indianapolis five hundred right after Spencer Pigot crashed intensely exiting Flip four, bringing out the warning with 5 laps remaining and forcing what experienced been a thrilling race to end less than warning.
Following dominating most of the race, Scott Dixon experienced been chasing Sato for about 15 laps and was commencing to chunk into a hole that experienced emerged in lapped traffic. But the race finished when Pigot spun into the outside the house wall, then crossed back throughout the track and slammed into the safety tires that guard the entrance to pit lane.
Pigot exited the car but was served onto a stretcher. His car was still left in items throughout the entrance extend.
Dixon pulled up alongside Sato with Graham Rahal, his teammate, on the other aspect to end 3rd.
